On Showbiz 927, Ghanaian artist manager Nana Asiamah referred to Kumawood star Yaw Dabo’s craft as “some unsavory terms” for saying that “only lazy people watch movies that run for an hour.” Bullgod believes that if Yaw Dabo had appeared in intelligent films, his opinions would have been completely different.

Bullgod claims that he likes watching movies for extended periods of time because “that is how he feeds his thoughts.” With the qualification that he is quite picky about the movies he watches, he said, “I also learn from movies.”

I avoid watching useless movies. Yaw Dabo, the person who just talked, is in a majority of senseless movies, which is why he is saying what he is saying. I doubt he will say what he is saying if there is substance to be gleaned from that film.

Bullgod acknowledged that he dislikes local films since the majority of them are acting in Twi, a language he does not speak well. He compares viewing a local film to viewing one in Chinese or Arabic.
